Bathroom Vanities, Medicine Cabinets & LED Mirrors for Canadian Trade Buyers

A model-specific sourcing path for Canadian bathroom retailers, importers, private-label programs, builders, multi-unit residential projects and hospitality teams that need exact dimensions, material records, product-level documentation and defined packaging requirements.

Canadian range planning

Plan the destination, sales channel and exact size before sampling.

Canadian programs often combine nominal inch merchandising with exact metric product data. A 900 mm cabinet is about 35.4 inches, not exactly 36 inches, so cabinet, countertop, basin, mounting and service dimensions should remain explicit in drawings and quotations.

Requirements vary by province or territory, Quebec distribution scope, product materials and complete electrical configuration. ArcQuay can organize model-specific files and artwork inputs. The Canadian importer confirms applicable federal and provincial or territorial obligations, while the authority having jurisdiction determines installation acceptance.

Canadian procurement priorities

What to settle before buyer sample sign-off

01

Nominal inches + exact mm

Use inch references for merchandising where helpful, but keep precise cabinet, countertop, basin, mounting and plumbing dimensions in the controlled technical schedule.

02

Destination and language scope

Identify the province or territory, sales channel and Quebec scope before product, packaging, instruction and warranty content is planned.

03

Complete-product evidence

Verify approval evidence for the exact finished LED mirror configuration rather than relying on a driver certificate or component mark. Identify actual composite-wood panel types and CANFER scope for vanities.

04

Packaging and traceability

Define carton labels, exact model and batch identifiers, spare parts, damage protection, delivery route and the Canadian importer’s applicable record-keeping needs.

Canadian buyer checklist

Build one file for dimensions, materials, labels and model-specific evidence.

A product image and nominal size are not enough for a Canadian launch. The RFQ should show the destination, complete configuration and which party will confirm certification, language and importer obligations.

  • Importer records, batch traceability, spares and delivery route
Canada FAQ

Questions Canadian trade buyers should resolve early

Can a 900 mm vanity be sold as a 36-inch vanity in Canada?

Do not describe 900 mm as an exact 36 in dimension. If a “36 in class” merchandising category is used, display the actual finished dimension—900 mm (about 35.4 in)—prominently and consistently on the product page, drawing, quotation and applicable packaging, together with the manufacturing tolerance.

Is a CE-marked LED mirror approved for Canada?

A CE mark alone does not establish Canadian approval. The exact complete model and configuration must carry a recognized Canadian certification mark or, where the destination authority accepts it, a field-evaluation label for that specific equipment. A driver or other component mark does not automatically cover the finished mirror.

What is the difference between a medicine cabinet and a mirror cabinet?

The terms can overlap. Canadian buyers commonly use “medicine cabinet” for wall storage with a mirrored door. The schedule should state whether it is surface-mounted or recessed and list depth, door swing, shelves, electrical items and mounting hardware.

Do labels and instructions need French?

Not as a blanket rule. For prepackaged non-food consumer products, federal law generally requires mandatory label information in English and French, while products intended only for commercial, industrial or institutional use are exempt from that Act. CANFER has separate bilingual-labelling rules for covered products. In Quebec, product, packaging and accompanying information must be in French, subject to statutory exceptions. Confirm the exact product, channel and destination before artwork approval.

This market guide uses local search terminology while keeping dimensions, components and installation decisions tied to the selected model and drawing.

Canada

Build a Canadian range around documented dimensions, materials and model-specific records.

Share the province or territory, channel, products, quantities, dual-unit schedule, language scope and required records so suitable models and document gaps can be reviewed. ArcQuay’s review is a sourcing and document-gap review, not product certification or engineering approval.
