Product documentation

Certificates and documents are checked by model and destination

A certificate name on a general web page is not evidence that every product is covered. ArcQuay reviews document requests against the exact model, configuration, intended market and date of supply.

Evidence used in procurement

The document set depends on the product being purchased

Bathroom furniture, plumbing fixtures and electrical products can fall under different rules. The relevant evidence is identified after the buyer defines the model and destination.

01

Product specification

Model code, dimensions, materials, finishes, component options and installation information tied to the quotation.

02

Test or approval records

Available reports, certificates or registrations are checked for product identity, scope, issuing body and validity details.

03

Sample and quality references

Approved drawings, finish references, functional checks and inspection criteria provide order-specific evidence beyond a logo.

04

Commercial and packing records

Confirmed artwork, labels, carton marks, packing data and shipment documents are coordinated for the approved order.

Verification workflow

Five checks before a document is relied on

  1. 01

    Identify the model

Record the product code, size, electrical or plumbing configuration and selected components.

  2. 02

    Define the destination

Confirm the importing country, sales channel, installation context and buyer-supplied requirements.

  3. 03

    Match the scope

Compare the product identity and configuration with the scope shown on the available document.

  4. 04

    Review the record

Check the issuer, document number, dates, referenced standard and any exclusions or conditions.

  5. 05

    Record the decision

List the agreed document requirement in the quotation or approval record before production release.

Shared responsibility

The importer should confirm local obligations

ArcQuay can provide and coordinate the documents available for an agreed model. The buyer, importer or appointed consultant remains responsible for confirming which requirements apply in the destination market and whether the supplied evidence is acceptable to the relevant authority, retailer or project team.

Requirements can also change. Verification should therefore use current documents and the final product configuration, not an image copied from an earlier catalogue.

Read claims carefully

What this page does not claim

Not every category has the same requirement

A vanity cabinet, basin, tap, illuminated mirror and non-illuminated mirror should not be assessed as though they were the same product.

One document does not cover every variation

Changes to size, driver, plug, fitting or other components can affect the relevance or scope of existing evidence.

A web logo is not proof of current coverage

Procurement decisions should rely on a legible, current document that can be matched to the selected product.

Information review: This process guidance was reviewed in July 2026. Product-specific evidence must still be checked at the time of quotation.

Ask about an exact model

Send the product reference and destination before requesting documents

ArcQuay can then confirm what information is available, what still needs checking and which requirement should be recorded in the quotation.
